Sripathi Panditharadhyula Charan, known for his contributions to Tamil and Telugu cinema, is a multi-talented Indian artist who excels as a film playback singer, actor, producer, and director.
Hailing from a renowned musical lineage, as the son of the legendary singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Charan initially made his mark as a playback singer in Tamil and Telugu films. He later ventured into acting, making his debut in the 2003 Kannada film “Hudugigagi.” However, it was his notable performance in the 2008 film “Saroja” that brought him widespread recognition.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Charan has also made a mark as a film producer. He founded a production company called Capital Film Works and has produced several successful Tamil films, including the cult hit “Chennai 600028” in 2007 and the National Film Award-winning “Aaranya Kaandam” in 2012.
Currently, Charan is actively involved in the Tamil film industry as a director as well. Under his home banner, Capital Film Works, he is working on a new Tamil web series titled “Adhigaram,” which marks his directorial debut. “Adhigaram” is a gripping political thriller that tackles sensitive issues. While the release date is yet to be announced due to the ongoing pandemic situation, fans eagerly await its arrival.
